in some cases, DNG Converter (11.4.0.273) can exhibit a noticeable colour cast when the lossy compression option is selected. See below for screen captures made using Preview on Mac OS X Mojave (10.14.6). Note that no cast is evident in the embedded JPEG or DNG using lossless compression.
For archival using DNG with lossy compression, one possible workaround is to embed the RAW image in the DNG file. DNG Converter allows the embedded RAW image to be extracted at a later time if needed.
Currently, Mac OS X Mojave does not (natively) display EOS RP CR3 files in Preview or Finder. Unfortunately, this also seems to be the case for the upcoming Catalina release (as of 10.15.0 beta5).
